GLP1 injection

We have been informed by the pharmacy that you are or could be on a GLP1 injection for your weight. If this is the case, please be aware that the injection is affecting hormone levels of the contraceptive pill and also of HRT preparations, which could influence their efficacy and their safety.

If you are on HRT and you take oral progesterones (micronised progesterone or medroxyprogesterone) which is for your uterine lining protection, then you injection could make this less effective.

Please contact the surgery if you have any concerns.

In order to spread our recalls out more evenly throughout the year we are in the process of moving the Chronic Disease recalls (ie Diabetes, Asthma, COPD) to the month of your Date of Birth. This will mean that this year you might be called earlier or later for your yearly annual review.
